Yine bir BBC belgeseli. Yapım yılı 2011. Julia Bradbury, ismi İngiliz televizyonlarını takip edenlere ve yürüyüşe meraklı olanlara yabancı gelmeyecektir. İzlanda ise 2010 yılında patlayan yanardağ sonrası tüm Avrupa’nın tepelerine çöken kül bulutu nedeniyle paniklemesi ve 2016 yılında futbol takımının üstün performansıyla zihinlerimizde yer etmiş bir kuzey ülkesi. Üstelik Hanna Styrmisdottir isimli bir İzlandalı rehber kendine has duru güzelliği ile adeta bir elf prensesi gibi tüm yolculuk boyunca bizlere eşlik ediyor. Hatta hiç çaba göstermemesine karşın yıldızlaşıyor diyebilirim. Keyifli bir yürüyüş oldu. Kindle'a da attım. Ara sıra seyrederim. Hatta belki İzlanda'ya da gidebilirim yahu, belli olmaz. Niye olmasın ki, nüfusu da azmış.

Rejkjavik means bay of smoke. İlk gelen Norveçli İngolf Arnarson burayı dumanlı görünce bu adı koymuş. Nüfusun 2/3’ü Rejkjavikte yaşıyor.

Eyjafjallajökull volkanı – Avrupaya yağan küllerin sebebi bunun eruption u. Esas ikinci eruption summit volcano’dan olduğu için her yere kül yağmış. Magma ve ice kombinasyonu tehlikeli. Çünkü dağlardaki volkanlar buzullarla kaplı.

WINTERWATCH 2017 e2 - Doğa Durumu: Kış (BBC Belgeseli)

2008'den beri takip ettiğim efsane bir doğa belgeseli serisi var. Winterwatch, Autumnwatch, Springwatch gibi mevsimlik olarak yayınlanıyor. BBC bana göre bu işin dünyadaki bir numarası. Bu haftasonu Ocak ayında yayınlanan kış bölümlerini seyretme fırsatı buldum. Artık bir nevi ekran dostlarım olan Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan ve Martin Hughes-Games ile de özlem giderdim. Hiç abartma demeyin. Televizyon melevizyon, insan alıştığı sesleri ve yüzleri özlüyor. En azından bende öyle oluyor. Dört bölüm dolu dolu 4 saat sürdü. Öğrendiklerimi saymasam dahi her dakikası gerçek bir terapiydi. Teşekkürler BBC.

Tail’deki special bir gland’den tüylerini yağlarlar. Kafalarını geri çevirip kalemi hokkaya batırır gibi yaparlar bu işi.
